Started at Thorpe and up the track to the grouse moorland, visiting the trig point first before heading over to the monument. Pretty windy up here today.

Parked in Rylstone and walked up the main road to bridleways which lead to the main ridge, great little fell walk this even did a bit of scrambling. The war memorial is set on a large rock with memorial plaque attached. This monument has been promoted to Marilyn and Dewey status having been remeasured by John Barnard and Graham Jackson at 507.8m and is 1.84+/0.03m higher than Thorpe fell. The summit is the NW corner of the rock on which the obelisk sits.No wind only saw a fell runner all day who kindly took a photo returned to Cracoe to complete the round,as i drove off the heavens opened very lucky!
