From the road (HU 5078 4183) drove the track up to Aith (HU 5142 4336), from there pleasant walk out to Score Hill on Aith Ness. Pillar, sited adjacent to an impressive 6" WWI breech-loading gun, has some superficial damage to top screed; original centre cap retained, deeply indented lettering; front and RHS sight holes open. Extensive sea/landscape panoramic views.

Walked North from Setter along tractor track as far as Aith then to the TP via quarried areas. Came back via the east coast. A good walk.

I walked around Aith Voe from the mausoleum at Gunnista and then, after logging the trig, headed up to the highest point of the island, Ward of Bressay (Brassa trig pillar).

Wet and windy with mists rolling in so not a good view but it would be great on a sunny day with views up the east cost of Shetland. Started from the end of the track at the derelict homestead at aith and took a leisurely stroll up to the trig. About 15-20 mins in all.

Parked at Gunnista and walked to it around Aith Voe. Interesting ruin on the hilly Aith Ness, followed by a WWI gun battery on Score Hill with in situ 6-inch gun at the trig point. Excellent number of west side trigs visible, as well as the islands of Noss, Skerries, Whalsay, Yell, and Unst.
