Took some finding very faded arrow marks, Think this is the trigmark because a nearby surface block has exactly the same style of mark great find dusty.

All the BMs both side of Rhyl along the coast are on the Sea Wall itself. This Trig is on the walkway/cycle track 1 yard from south side. It is a BM as well. Rivet flattened and arrow.

Probably gone. The GR does not correspond to any steps. Sections of road has been replaced by new concrete and the only hope its that its in the grass verge nearest the golf course. Its was not visible by the sea wall, on the existing road surface or on the lower slab to the seaward side of the wall. Looking at the OS benchmark database suggests that Meirions rivet corresponds with a Rivet BM adjacent to steps along the sea front not this TRIG station

A super windy day today on the North Wales coast. A strong tailwind blew me here in double quick time along the cycle path from Old Colwyn. I had a good look over two separate sets of steps though the rivet in question appeared to elude me both times.

Watch out for the sea spray!

Retro log: Found this way back in Oct 2011. At the time not sure what it was as my GPS was playing-up. A good candidate for the trig rivet.
