If only all surface blocks were as easy to find as this one! I chose a smashing day to visit. I went to the Tump top in the forest first before heading over here along the sheepy pastures. Nice views.

First surface block come across that's significantly higher than the ground surface. With NCB etched into the concrete, assume this was a coal board survey mark adopted by the OS. Metal pipe with internal thread protrudes from the top. Concrete round the base is eroding badly.

Easy to spot as it is in the open right next to the path. It is a little cracked and there are a few bits missing round the base but otherwise it is in okay condition.

From SW, top of yellow road, after the Tump summit. Nice route but farmer met on way back claims road as private and asks folk not to park as may obstruct large HGV access. Parking available down in village.

Small trig with no plate or number, great views.
