An easy enough find, location seemed familiar so may have walked up here in 2014. Cut mark found on wall north of gate into woods. Required moss removal before it was found.

Parked across from church then up FP to field followed FP to Grid Ref then started to prod, Surface Block was fully grassed over so took some finding We put extra stone on top so it can be found quicker Great views

Parked up and used PROW to the north GPS was playing up must have had at least half a dozen dodgy fixes and almost gave up one last throw of the dice lead to yet another fix this time luckily to shorter grass then I found the stones left by previous triggers I'd found it.just goes to show GPS is not foolproof!

I got the 08.30 7A Witch Hopper bus to Downham from Nelson,then walked through to Grindleton on BM hunt.Spotted easily thanks to CJO efforts.

Was expecting this to be difficult but hadn't realised that CJO had left marker stones exposed, so found the block directly. Rod marker. Nice view of the profile of Penyghent, also Ingleborough, Waddington Fell, Longridge Fell and Pendle. Looking SW the block may have been aligned with the (destroyed) Cement works chimney and the top of Longridge Fell.

Good GPS fix required as GR is in the middle of a grassy field. Found under 4 inch of turf, then with two pieces of stone on top, then the block. Rod-type with CBM cut into concrete.

Found correct co-ords with gps but after 15 mins poking around and finding nothing decided to log this one as possibly missing
