Cemetery is now a conservation area. Many impressive memorials. The obelisk is probably taller than most at the western side of the site. Cut BM.

Getting towards the end of a long painful day, been up since 0230. Impressive rain wasn't going to stop a consolation bag. Quality venue, most unexpected.

Drove off Undercliffe Lane through main gates of cemetery where there is a small car park on the right. As we made our way towards The Obelisk the park warden we had been talking to earlier in Peel Park rode in on his Yamaha. Undercliffe Cemetery has many very impressive monuments to the deceased, not least The Obelisk itself. At about 4:20, as we walked along the avenue, we heard the roar of 10,000 football fans in full voice. This was Bradford City celebrating the only, and winning goal against Macclesfield Town. At first I was a little disappointed to find no evidence of Ordnance Survey at The Obelisk. Looking more closely, I was pleasantly surprised to find a bench mark cut into the base low down on the north-west side.

The Obelisk The bench mark can just be seen at the centre of the base - north-west side.
