Got the boat along Loch Mullardoch and set up camp near the lodge. Fine circuit of the three peaks above starting with An Socach. Started off fair then soon descended into snow and hail storms :) Atmospheric day.

Cycled in from Killilan. Fantastic day. Fortunately the odd shower that was around avoided me, but drenched my bike. Reasonably fresh snow on top - the few footprints there were were from the same direction as me - no-one was doing the ridge onto An Riabhachan.

first day of a pretty foul weather week, probably the worst total week I remember with a little bit of calmness in latter half of week. Today was gales and clagged in as group of us from CRMC struggled clockwise over An Socach and An Riabhachan and back to the hut. We were staying in the Danes cabin two third of the way along north side of Mullarrdoch.

For years this hill was unnamed on the OS maps - it now also goes by the name of Meall a'Chraisg. As usual in this wasteland I was on a multiday walk and was about to get badly beaten up on An Riabhachain by a storm, a very serious storm. Got away with just a wrecked rucksac.. Wild place, wild times. Pillars a vanessa BTW
