Location of CJO's recent excavations readily identified but took a while to dig out again with a trowel. The station dates from 1954 whereas its near neighbour was computed in 1988 suggesting that the latter is a replacement. But hard to see the reason why this block should have been dug out then rotated.

Concrete block at the right approximate GR, but found buried and rolled over onto its side. Reference face now points east along the road. Rod-type rivet. 1 m from grass edge of pavement on north side of road. 20.3 m east of where the black and grey tarmac abuts. The same local dogwalker from TP8481 just up the road, stopped again on his return leg just at the point we uncovered it. Buried 5 cm deep.
