Had a laugh on this one could not find it was about to give up until I realised had paced out 18 steps from the wrong sign. Soon found it in the bottom of the ditch in good condition.

(2114) Given that this one hadn't been visited/logged properly in six years, I did wonder if the block would take some finding. And that did indeed prove to be the case. In fact I was all set to leave empty handed, when I decided to have one last try. Weedy watery ditch filled with broken off tree limbs, smashed car parts, old fence posts, tonnes of litter and almost level with soil - dumped from road works? - in places. All of which had helped to hide the block. But she's still there. Though the rod appears to have suffered some damage, as it now looks rather truncated.

Revisit. Thanks to Ted's eagle eyes. we found it this time - although we had previously looked in the ditch it now resides in our lame excuse was it was lashing with rain at the first attempt!

Was about to give up on this but remembered to check the concrete blocks in the ditch as mentioned by CJO. Its there - face upwards, rod marker, approx 18 ft S from the road sign, next to the foundations of a fence post. Easier to spot in winter.

Possibly missing 14th Dec 2014  14:22  by CJO

This one is either under the tarmac pavement or its gone - nothing found worth digging for. Lots of block of concrete found in the adjacent ditch but these all appeared to be post bases.

Couldn't find it 8th Mar 2013  13:30  by PeteBoggs

GPS put this on verge across from junction of Skeltons Lane and Thorner Lane. There is a small square of turf that looks like it might have the block below it but no such luck or anywhere close by
