(268) A last one for the day, and a pretty decent one to boot. Handy parking at the site, and thanks to it's gleaming white paint job, it's certainly noticeable from a distance. Plug missing, but everything else is in good order it would seem. Now has an additional plaque attached to it detailing a brief history of Triangulation Pillars, and how this one was 'adopted' by Arthur Davenport of Manchester, but is now looked after by the local parish council.

Bagged on way home after a weekend on the pleasure beach at Skeggy with my daughter. Another one with its own car park, pillar sited in NE corner and unmissable behind the loos. Good condition. Drawback of crowds at this time of day, but who cares what they think. Good facilities and a beach make this interesting. Capped off a great weekend.

Placed at the foot of the sea wall makes you wonder how it managed to have a clear line of sight to any other trigs but if the immediate surroundings are cleared there is only flat land between the trig and the Wolds. The immediate location is frankly a let down for the trig hence the low score but it does have most amenities close and convenient (free parking; WCs; cafť; the baffling Cloud Bar and if you can handle any more excitement a Drainage Museum is signed, but top of the list and why we are here is the beach!).

The pillar is in very good condition with the exception of the missing centre plug. The views are far from spectacular but at least itís still standing and given itís coat of white paint and very public location, remarkably free from any graffiti.
