Constructed 1864. Retained as navigational aid after tin mine (1838-83) closed. Bought by Heinz Co and donated to NT in 1987. Very well preserved. Parked by Carn Gloose pillar and walked down.

A great place to be at any time of the year. One of our favourite places in Cornwall. We held a geocaching event here on this day though we had walked past it on previous visits.

Not sure quite how this classifies as a trigpoint or indeed what an "Intersected Station" really is. But we were here for our 1000th geocache at Cape Cornwall so thought we'd log this as well!
