(338) Previous logs are certainly detailed enough to help find this, but rather frustratingly for me, the block remained undiscovered. Will give this another go at some point. REVISIT: 23.3.19 And it looks like I've left it too late for this one. Post in the hedge remains, but a new wide path has replaced the older much narrower one. Safe to assume that it's either been dug up and carted away/dumped somewhere, or that it's now under the new path. Checked both sides of the road in case it had ended up nearby, and though there are signs that some spoil has been dumped close to the hedge line, the block wasn't amongst them. Blast....

CJO's find provided an excuse for a Sunday afternoon visit to Doncaster. Mislaid notes so working from unreliable memory. But easy enough to find; nearer the post than expected.

Found. Rod-type completely bent over. 21m north of bench; 12.3m north of Post Office man-hole cover; 4.1m east of steel post in hedge (has wooden square post inside it; noted by Rob. 3.2m west of white line at edge of road; just to east of overgrown pavement.

Couldn't find it 14th Dec 2013  10:35  by peregrinus

West verge, north of a bench (!). Gps took me to foot of a rusty pole, one of a pair apparently belonging to an old road sign. Extensive old tarmac a few inches down makes block finding difficult.

Block location should be in front of (or behind?) old metal post
