The logs made this one sound easy but the tirig is on a high bank surrounded by barbed wire fences and the flush bracket it not on the side you start from! There is a kind of style at ST 07014 15139. #59 of the trip. With Coineanach Hutch

Accessed by the field to the north, which was empty. The FB is clear, and the trig is obvious across the field, but there has quite a lot of ivy on it.

The pillar is perched on a large plinth embedded in a prickly hedge on the south side of a grass field on a small hill to the south west of Wellington. I parked in the gateway on the eastern side of the field on the verge of a short dual carriageway section of the A38. The trig appears to be in good condition but is mostly cloaked in ivy. It lacks a cap or plug and has FB S3957 facing into the field to the north of the hedge. From the plinth it is possible to see over the nearby hedgerows to the surrounding landscape of low rolling hills of fields and woods. The Quantock Hills rise up in the distance to the north. The partially wooded slopes on the edge of the Blackdown Hills can be seen to the east and the hazy outlines of some distant hills of South Devon are on the horizon to the south.

Hidden in the hedge - might have been harder to find without the programmed co-ords in my GPS. Intriguing set-up for the pigs(?) in the huts

Not far in from the main road (A38). We parked by the gate into the pigs and hopped over. You then have to go into the field to the S of the trig (empty at the time) as the pigs have their luxurious quarters in the one to the N. The FB is on the North ! On a large plinth - of course, its Somerset !! Some of the ivy & moss has now gone.

You can park on the little yellow road to the north east just after it's junction with the A361. Walk down the A361 a bit and there is a gate giving access into the field. Trig is on a plinth with the FB facing north east. It was too overgrown to check the plug.

This was more of a struggle to reach than I'd anticipated. I parked in a layby to the S on the A38, crossed a fence and skirted a field full of swede, expecting the trig to be in the hedgeline on the high ground. It wasn't, so I followed a startled roe deer through a tiny gap in the hedge that was clearly its normal thoroughfare and crossed the next door field to find the trig in the opposite hedgerow. I didn't bother getting the FB, although facing NE it's accessible from the next field, through which I made my escape.

A relatively ivy-free TP

I approached via the field to the north, but it had been sprayed with slurry recently, so a change of footwear was needed! Almost totally covered by ivy. GR to 10m only.
