First time I've ever walked up the ridge from Llanuwchllyn. Trig is now a rather elegant, slim, stone built column but Poucher's "The Welsh Peaks" (first pub 1962)shows a concrete pillar with a crack right across its base. It's now missing some support under one corner.

Bright sunshine. My second highest unclimbed point in England and Wales. Good views all round. Snowdon to N and ?Brecons in S. Needed a camera.

An early one of many visits to the Aran ridge; it's always a good walk (albeit sometimes a bit boggy, or frozen) if done from Cwm Cywarch, and can be extended to finish at Llanuwchllyn if you have arranged things well with two cars.
