Great view. Did loop from Cuil Bay, up by Croich Cottage and down SW ridge past pt 149. No problem fences.

Parked at Kentallen & Duror community centre. There is a metal gate behind it which you go through and then just follow the track to the top. The trig path & mast path are separate, we just headed for the trig. Beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky. Views across to a snow-capped Ben Nevis & down Loch Linnhe.

Parked at the Community Centre and took an easy to follow track that leads towards the mast. The pillar can be spotted just before you reach the mast. Great views all round, even on a moody January afternoon.

Easy one this before we climbed Ben nevis the day after. Followed an easy track from the community centre up towards the mast where the trigpoint could easily be spotted. Views were amazing. We got lots of ticks on this walk in the August. But didn't stop us enjoying the peace and tranquility up there

Obvious start from behind the community centre and an obvious track, albeit winding, up to the mast. A short pull up behind the mast suddenly revealed a stunning view of Loch Linnhe and my first Vanessa. I wouldn't want to come up the track on a quad or anything else myself.

The pillar itself is actually in good condition but missing the centre sadly. Track from behind the community centre. Views are phenomenal for the effort. Up and down in 45 minutes.

Short walk up an atv track from the community centre/village hall, steep in places and a little soggy underfoot. Excellent views to effort ratio. Perfect after work jaunt from FW.

Parked at Duror village hall and followed the A.T.V track almost to the mast then followed a path to the summit of Ardsheal Hill. Fantastic viewpoint

Parked at community Hall used an overgrown path of sorts but in the end went off piste to find slim Vanessa. Hostel power off so did before breakfast and just as rain arrived.

All sights open, neat view of bolt, cap n all in good nick with some grafitti on the leeward side... hugged my first Vanessa on this disappointingly dreich day with limited visibility and encroaching darkness, ..still worthy of a good score! :D

Superb vantage point for the sunset.Through gate at the back of the hall and a boggy quad bike track now leads direct to the summit.

HISTORY: Pillar completed 18th June 1959 costing £23.16s.8d. Computed as tertiary triangulation station NM52/T6 in 1960. Levelled for height also in 1960. Last maintained by the OS in August 1982. SITE VISIT: Parked in public hall car park at NN002563. Followed trace of unfenced track to comms mast then short hop NW to the summit of Ardsheal Hill. Tertiary station pillar completed 18th May 1959 costing £23.16s.8d. Vanessa in good condition. Spider retains OS Centre cap with raised large narrow letters. Flush bracket faces 201° SSW. All sight holes open, pillar bolt visible. Breathtaking 360° panorama includes Ben Nevis.

slightly damaged by gus and his mates. i came up from the north - finding a way up through the near vertical escarpment from the perimiter road. madtastic ascent!try it! like the worst excesses of tremadog

Vanessa in good condition and intact, still a fair bit of paint on, which has been scratched away to form letters. The SW aspect is very weathered, as is usual. Intact brasswork. Wish I could wire it up to get the git when it visits! Outstanding hill, great views again. Only problem, the phone mast below the summit. You have to pass through its radiation to get up (if coming up from Duror Hall) and it gave me the mother of all mobile phone headaches...

No details noted - slightly disappointing summit, pleasant view. 2009 having revisited Ive no idea why I was disappointed. Nice little hill.
