Parked at Binn Green (on the A635 above Dove Stone Reservoir / below Alderman's Brow) and then followed the Oldham Way up to the monument. Particularly good views West over the Thame valley which were improved by the haze meaning Manchester was obscured !! Views East are the least impressive due to the gently rising moorland. Nearby Pots and Pans Stone and Kinder Stones add interest to the immediate surroundings. I was so engrossed with taking photos that I forgot to give the obelisk a pat (which is my usual criterion for a successful bag). A short detour SE to Alderman's Hill is highly recommended for stunning views across the reservoirs and Dove Stone Moss.
