The Church of The Holy Trinity stands on a small hill in the North Bristol suburb of Westbury on Trym. The trig station consisted of a roof bolt and a pinnacle on a corner turret of its 4 stage tower. The church was reached by walking up from the shops at the centre of the suburb. A number of fine old buildings lined the road. From the peaceful church yard there are views in places northwards over the leafy suburbs of the city. The origins of Westbury on Trym are said to predate those of Bristol. The building is a Grade I listed mostly built in the 13th century. There are some fine memorials inside the church and in the churchyard; some of which are also listed structures. There was no access to the tower roof. There are many noted architectural details throughout the building. A faint, eroded cut bench mark survives on the south west angle of the tower.

My visit to the church was to log the damaged cut mark on the SW angle of the tower. Luckily, I also took a photo of the church allowing me to log the pinnacle retrospectively.
