Parked at the junction a few hundred feet away. A handy piece of square cut turf concealed the surface block, but the change of colour made it easy to spot.

Hunted for this one before without joy. Hunted for this one for a good while too. I got to ground zero and started to probe with a long pointy stick, and probed, and probed and probed. No Joy again. I was about to give up and had even walked away but turned to look back again and noticed that there was a rectangular patch of grass which was slightly different in colour to the rest of the verge - and lo and behold - a trigpoint!

Grass well and truly re-grown since CJO's visit last year when it was left uncovered. Standard 1" bolt in concrete block; measured at 1.1m from road edge, but no other help so GPS useful. Replaced turf as verge seems to be driven over a fair bit going by tyre marks.

1" bolt in quite a large concrete block located about 1.1m from the edge of the road. Deep grass slowed us down a bit with this one and it was found buried 5 cm deep. Given that there is nothing in the immediate vicinity of the trig that remains from the OS sketch we left this one open.

1" bolt in block, 1.2m East from a fence post, 1.1m from road edge. Buried 2" down. Fence posts new since os sketch - which doesn't help much other than distance from road. Previous excavations still visible, thanks.

Took a trip to Homebase and the purchase of a spade and a plant support (for poking!) to find this bolt, also had to look at the OS sketch and measure the distance from the junction to the bolt, the gap in the hedge is none existent, but after measuring and marking out the two fence posts we found bolt almost in the middle of the two, well buried.

The gap in the hedge does still does exist just about. Look for two obvious tree tubes in the hedgeline Easy to find with the photos even though its been almost 2 years since the last logged visit (After Id moved the car - Id pulled up on top of it!) Left it clear for the next intrepid visitor. Good views over the rolling countryside
