Slight chip in corner. From road end at Glen Beg. Up estate track then path through heather alongside grouse butts. Over to the fort. Much easier than expected..

I’ve given it 6 out of 10 for interest because sitting inside a cloud being snowed on is pretty magical! Will definitely return on a clear day. Came up from Glenbeg, on a compass bearing after leaving the forest.

Plenty of parking at the end of the tarred road. Thereafter followed Aquesously90’s route until clear of the trees and picked up a narrow path which led to the trig. Fantastic views all round. To make a round, followed the marked track back.

Thank you Aqueously90 for excellent directions, unusually for me, I didn't manage to get lost. Fairly recent looking electric fencing near trig, enclosing young trees.

#504 P289 2016P89. Parked at recommended spot on geocache listing and followed the track by the farm then followed first fork to left and then eventually out on to hill. Then followed a cross cross of faint tracks in heather to trig. Saw deer, buzzard, hare, geese and heard a cuckoo. Dog just loved the hare drippings. Great views from the trig.

Parked at end of Glenbeg road, walked past farm and continued along track until it ended and headed up smaller a tracks through heather to trig. Stunning 360 degree views and an excellent view of the snow covered Cairngorms. Charlie found a part of a rabbit and thought it was the best trig ever, unfortunately those pesky humans wouldn't let him eat it!

Log #14. Parked at NJ 01336 27652 and followed the road past the farm buildings. When the path splits at NJ 00691 28107, go left and follow that up the hill. Turn left again at the top and follow the track southwards. Don't be tempted by the gates in the fence, keep following the track and it will eventually swing west again. When you reach a clearing, continue northwards and you'll reach the gate, and an easily climbable fence. From there, it's a fairly simple trek west over the boggy heather, and up to the summit. Trig is in good condition with cap. [ExP-14/MiP-0/BM-0]

Beinn Mhor, Auchnahannetis a place under a similar hill, Tom Mor, near Carn na Loine, about 10km to the east , the otherside of Grantown. Supposedly a great viewpoint, but today only icy rain. A lovely hill in wooded surroundings with some very yellow birks. Heather on the moorland part was friendly, so an easy walk. Two first logs in a weekend.. Nice! Pillar in very good condition and intact.
