Beautiful wall to wall blue sky and warm day so swapped gardening for a circular walk from Send Marsh in pursuit of one of my last remaining Surrey trigs. Downside of trig: great views of Woking, noise from A3. Upside: v easy access as fence is now totally flattened, in a few weeks this will be a carpet of bluebells. Metal cap deep lettering, E s/hole open, excellent condition.

Cap intact. Parked by the post box. E on bridleway, then N on bridleway, and headed to trig when due E of it. There is a faint path. There is a high fence in the way, but it has been levelled by a fallen tree at a convenient point.

Cycled from West past Holride Farm then North and double back on foot through wood. Asked at farm about access from field, but the chap was not the owner and had some vicious looking dogs!

We parked to the west, walked down past Holride Farm and took the track north into the wood. The pillar is on the edge of the wood near some pheasant pens and a large decrepit scaffold tower. As Saginanivalis says it's just about OK in shorts. Plug with heavily indented lettering.

I parked at the end of the bridle way and walked about 1/3 of a mile up to pillar - it is located about 150 meters off the path, and like the provious log, i felt i shouldn't of been there. Pillar in good condition views over farm land and at this time of year blue bells

I was pleased to get this one. I thought it was out of bounds and to be honest I'm not 100% certain it wasn't on private land but I think not. Co-ords were N51 16.620 W00 29.042 and an elevation of 199ft but it was swinging a bit wildly. Views to WNW. Great bluebell wood!
