Pleasant walk from Stonehouse following the Dalesway past Dent to Barth Bridge then following the Dales High Way to SD 695 898 bearing right to follow a wall for nearly 3km to the trigpoint. Fantastic panoramic views including the Three peaks, Howgills, Lakeland fells and even Blackpool tower. I continued following the wall past Rise Hill and Snaizwold fell to join a bridleway which drops into Cowgill.

Great day, great weather, great views but once off Knoutberry Haw very, very wet. Other than crossing/using the road I never saw another soul until visiting the Moorcock - absolute bliss. Stiles/wall breaks give easy access. In a staggering degree of ineptitude, and on the most wonderful of days weather wise - yes it really was that good, I forgot the camera - my shame is iredeemable.
