Parked on road at start of bridleway .trig found just off FP . Area around the trig has been recently cleared.

From dirt car park WSW at Cockshoot. Trig sits in a scrubby mixed woodland a little off the RoW; paths have been cut through bracken etc so no access issues. Pillar has minor chipping to one top edges and one corner; original top cap is retained, raised lettering; LHS sight hole open. No views.

A fairly easy walk most of the way to this one, last few meters could be a challenge at certain times of the years. Caching nearby so approached from the south, ample parking available.

Slight damage to the top. Parked at Lower Cockshoot, bridleway to near the top, then path on the left finally taking to the braken, pillar deep in the trees

I had to fight through a lot of undergrowth to get to this one. Getting out again was easier as clearly there has been a path in the past. Nice views in surrounding areas but the pillar is currently in the undergrowth.

Followed the obvious footpath toward the trig then had to head upward with a bit of bush-wacking. Found without too much of a problem.

On a three day break cycling and trigging E of Hereford, marvelous scenery. Cycled from Dinedor trig left bike by cottage but couldn't find this trig, the undergrowth was murder with the bramble and fern, daft to try in late summer and wearing shorts..Good views from viewpoint back down the hill.

Hoped to cache and trig here but only got the trig. A bit of a challenge to get to due to undergrowth. Geo-spaniels enjoyed the outing though. Get in the right position and you just about get a view!

Confused last year by OS 1:50,000 obviously showing pillar in wrong place relative to ROWs and deterred by thick undergrowth. After two earlier ticks today, I felt I was on a roll and would try again. Walked up bridleway to junction with first footpath at marker with multiple markers and no 3. Headed directly upward at 90 degrees to bridleway under trees. Undergrowth largely shaded out. At a small brow break right to pillar. Quick find this time. Any views obscured

Took very circuitous route to this through heavy undergrowth. glad we did in winter month as i am sure summer will be near impossible!! No views from trig.

Difficult to locate and hard to access, the place living up to its name. The song is much more enjoyable. Visited while supporting walkers doing the Wye Valley. The worst trig so, and I will be surprised to find one worse. Slight damage not noticed.

Couldnt find this one first attempt,blame my OS LR map for lack of marked paths,bit confusing. Found day after.Looks pretty hidden,no views. Somebody had left a "camp site" note on top

A much easier route to the trig than I had imagined. A trig without a view seems like a bird that can't fly. Of course the flush is on the side facing the brambles.

Well, here we are - the first away game of the season again and it's been a few years since we came to Hereford. If I remember, this is fasgadh country so I wonder whether he was in the ground? If he was, he won't have liked Lincoln's 2-1 win! Anyway, did a couple of trigs on the way. Found this one more by luck than judgement as it is now totally concealed by gorse and bracken. Original plug with raised letters. Quite a bit of graffiti scratched into the spider and one top corner has broken off + a few other cracks. Some visible paint. All sightholes closed. No views at all. On the edge of a rapidly-growing conifer plantation, not too far off a footpath.

A nice walk up from the marked car park. No views from the Trig as it is surrounded by undergrowth and newish firs. The second walk of three Trig visits today. Beautiful weather. Me, Mum, Jon and Hadley.

I'm going good as well, safe parking where the bridleway leaves the road to the SW then climb up on a steady angle across the slop to where the 4 paths join. Then head directly up the hill trig on top with limited views. Still good not enough dameage for anything worse.

We parked at the end of the bridle track to the south. We had two eleven year old girls with us (Nico and Ellie) who were much more interested in the swing that someboby had put up on a tree just before the trig. Pleasant area but no views. Plug with raised lettering.

Nice little hill,restrictive views which will get worse as new plantation gains height.

The trees beginning to obscure all views from this pillar.

Slightly tricky to locate, involving a scramble through bracken from the bridle path to the south. Worth a visit but soon to be engulfed by rapidly rising conifers so the already limited view from this trig point is on borrowed time. Piller starting to crumble in one corner.
