From small woodland car park NE end of GC (NH 4639 4206). Good track to NH 4504 4172 whence hopped a fence and took a reasonably direct line over rough and sometimes boggy ground. Pillar retains original centre cap, deeply indented lettring; rear sight hole open. Extensive panoramic views.

Parked at the Aigas community woodland car park and then walked the route described by others below. The ground is very marshy in places but so worth it for the views. From Carn Eighe to the moray firth and kessock bridge. In great condition too! Interesting plate on the side from OS and mentioned by others and shown in their photos.

Looked for parking as suggested by BigJ but couldn't spot it, road very snowy and slippy so I then nearly got stuck turning round. I then decided to try the golf course and got stuck in the car park, luckily the 'owner' spotted me and came to assist. He not only parked my car in a place so I could get out later but he got me unstuck, gave me permission to park and checked I was back safe later. Once parked followed tracks to NH 44618 41963 described by BigJ as the terminal hammerhead, then headed along a sort of rutted track to the forest edge and onwards to the trigpoint. We then found someone else's tracks through the snow (person and dog) and followed them almost all the way to the trigpoint, well at least to the base of the crag. Then found our way around the side of the crag, going to the right and round and up to the trigpoint. Very windy on top but lovely views. Then got the shelter out below the trigpoint for lunch where it started snowing. Followed same route back to the car.

Parked in on the right, just before the golf course at Aigas. With heavy showers coming through, we didn't hang about but set off up the marked forestry track. This is a community woodland so there is no access issues. At the terminal hammerhead we turned left and on to the hill. A short boggy trek has us on top. Trig in good condition with it's GPS plaque. Cold on top with the potential of good views, given better weather. With Nozzer.

Long walk to get up there depending where your start point is I suppose. A LOT of Whin bushes and heather make the trek a little more taxing however its well worth it when you reach the top. A little graffiti found on the trig..see pics
