As others have said, there is a flagstaff existing but as the OS have recorded the flagstaff as destroyed the current one must be a replacement and not necessarily fixed in the same position. As for the bolt, that's anyone's guess.

Grade II* listed Victorian church, built 1838-9; a partnership Methodist-Anglican church. OS records 2 elements to this trig: Bolt - no access sought today; and Flagstaff - reported destroyed April 1987 so probably a replacement that is present today.

ST57 T137 Flagstaff. OS have as destroyed April 1987. I could see a flagstaff. Possibly replacement.
