Used to work directly opposite this church and even saw steeplejacks repairing the lightning conductor occasionally.

Out for a day in Bristol finding Trigpoints, waymarks and geocaches. St Mary Redcliffe is a hard church to miss, Also a location for a waymark on thr east wall.

Grade I listed late 12thC church. Spire originally mid-14thC, damaged 1446. The octagonal spire we see today dates from 1872. Cut BM with 1GL bolt on a buttress at tower W face.

An impressive church and spire. The church also carries a cut bench mark with bolt from the First Primary Levelling (1849) on its west face.
