Walked along path from Port Charlotte. Pleasant albeit modest lighthouse

Or Loch Indaal Lighthouse to give its correct anglicized name (Rubh' an Duin for the Gaelic speakers). Built 1869, it stands between a private house (Loch Indaal House - probably former lighthouse keepers' lodge) and the sea with gate connecting the 2 - does it double as a granny flat?

Day trip to Islay with some clients. Left them at Kilchoman distillery and with three hours to myself took a wee drive along to Port Charlotte. If I'd known I was coming here, would have brought the gps and went looking for some of those infernal pipes :-)

Although I've seen this lighthouse many times from the land, this was my first and only view from the sea!
