Rode down private road heading south from Studland, squeezed onto verge behind wall at end of lane . A lady walked by who I thought was going to challenge me but just exchanged pleasantries. Through gate onto NT reserve. Took a line south, almost directly uphill. At the ridge along the top beside path was a marker stone , from there headed east, losing height. Through a gate then another four hundred metres or so, pillar came into view, easily accessible but nearby vegetation obscures all round views. Good views on the approach and beyond the clump of bushes. Cap plugged with tarmac. FB etched, sadly. Faded whitewash.
