OS records destroyed January 1953. Beacon could have been on roof of extant building or more likely at top of the mast whose 4 truncated legs can be seen a few metres to SW of the bldg. Agree though with CJO that these remains give a 7m error on the beacon's GR, so maybe on the roof.

Reported destroyed 01/53 On site there is a brick shed with a decaying air traffic control services sign. There are two very strong canditates for the base of the beacon mast (assuming it was a mast). On top of the brick built shed are the possible remains of a mast base. Several m to the SW of my reported GPS location are some wooden and steel stumps. My best estimate of the Beacon is the installation on the roof.(3m GPS error)

RAF Beacon beacon base remains on shed roof?
RAF Beacon Mast remains, several m to SW of hut another strong candidate for the trigmark, but GPS gives ~6m error
