Seems to be a different location to the previous logger which is closer to the Berntsen - but clearly marked In the Pebbles Beach car park
Great Solent views
Good views to the north and west as far as Langage, the Moors, Derriford and the Sound into Cawsand Bay
Still there but heavily covered by ivy - photo pointless!
I believe this trig was on the Astor Institute in Mount Gould, Plymouth, It was opened in 1929 by Lady Nancy Astor, having been given to the people of Mount Gould "in perpetuity" by her husband Waldorf, whose idea was for the institute to serve the tenants of the Astor Trust Housing Estate which they had already developed there. By the 1970s interest in the building had dwindled and after serving for a number of years as a clinic the site was redeveloped and Age Concern now have a facility on the site, the William & Patricia Venton centre.
Surprised no-one has bagged this. This intersection station is the cupola on the top of Prince Rock Primary School in east Plymouth. It is clearly viisble on the main route out of Plymouth (Exeter Street and onto the A379). The photo was taken this morning - there is no smart weather vane on the top - it was a seagull resting on it!
Doing the nearby cache - great views
WINDSWEPT BUT EXCELLENT VIEWS TO THE NORTH AND DOWN TO THE SOUND. 3 GEOCACHES TOO...!
caching in the area
First trig for a while! Easy acess from SW by public footpath from Polkanuggo Lane (park at end and walk back) - careful, quarry behind that hedge to the left!Good views to North, East and West, masked to the South
Easy access - good views to north and east
Great all round views
Came up and went down on the railway although originally we had plans to ride up and walk down Last 200ft in cloud so no views - two geocaches though :-)
Great views all round. Lots of teams practising for the ten tors today - but we had this tor to ourselves. Slightly coarse concrete construction and I fancy a little taller than usual. Flush plate is a different design to the usual. Metal cap in place and there is a small dedication tally
