Spent a while searching area behind wall, iainmac pic indicates 1m back from rose bush, 2m from kerb, found various chunks of rough concrete, none trig related, no trace of fence in 2007 pics either, I suspect it's gone, but you never know

Not convinced this is missing, GPS indicating approx 1.5m behind new(ish) wall (behind CJO's notebook), in rough, brambly ground. Cut back a lot of bramble but ground uneven with accumulated rubbish and possible building waste. Prodded around but nothing conclusive found to make me want to start digging.

I'm going to say this is probably missing. GPS places the location on the wall. The carprk renovation has encroached on the reported location. The markers from the OS sketch have all gone. the only possible remaining item which could help is the fence line to the North, this however has newish posts so may have been renovated along with the carpark. Nevertheless the 10.7m from the straining post does tie in with the suspected location.

Maryport location my notebook on top of wall marks suspected location.

Cumberland. It may or may not still be there but now is the wrong time of year to do a thorough search.

I fear this surface block has gone, the car park has been spruced up with new tarmac. Kerbs. Walls. And fencing ,and I’m guessing one of the new fence posts has been planted where the surface block once rested I may be wrong but after much probing and digging I gave up and say possibly missing

Maryport new fence posts has been planted where the surface block once rested

Good luck with this one. Gorse, deep bush mud and fly-tipping make this a Real Challenge for those so inclined. Classy views tho so I'll give it one point. Post-edit: Good effort that man!
