rang gate buzzer and guy gave me permission and let me in. Jody runs an internet finance business called something like Cash4later and that's how he made his money to buy this expensive place. He came out to check me out and chat and see if he could find any of his five hens do he could put them back in their protective pen to avoid death by foxes. dark green tennis court tarmac is surrounded on the outside by bright deep purple tarmac. very cool and a nice new bigger swimming pool. He's been there about two years. his parents named him Jody after the racing driver Jody Schdcker.

2nd logged trig after 5 years away from this site! Visited the morning after a very good wedding. Beaudesert failed to respond to the gate intercom so I did as others have - parked by roadside, hopped over fence, walked through field (easy going) and got close enough to appreciate its isolation in a nice garden. Fancy having your own trig - cool (hence highish mark)!

Done on a day ride from home. Although the route out to Meriden was a very familiar one I hadn't been that way since May.Onward by Knowle and the NT's Packwood House. A much colder start to the day of late and meriting leg warmers and cycle mitts, but bright and sunny. Aiming to visit the two closest pillars to home yet to be ticked off. Large electric gates prevented access on drive to Beaudesert Farm. A section of post and rail fence gave easy access to the field to the East and board fences, building and hedges maintain privacy of house and their view of me. At the back there is a wire fence and a line of bushes as a hedge and it is just possible to view the white pillar on an area of grass by bending and looking between the bushes stems about 10 yards away.Lane drops very sharply to West.

We thought we'd ask permission at this one as it is south of the M40 and I had to get Shane to Leamington Spa station for 14.30. Drove into the 'farmyard' and same number of cars present. Knocked the door but no answer - so carried on as previous visitors have. The menagerie is now one very friendly golden retriever, a black labrador (friendly) on a chain, and a mother cat and at least four smallish kittens - all very friendly. The curtains were still drawn so perhaps they were still in bed. What a strange place! The pillar is off white now as is the telephone box which is off red. Plug with indented lettering.

In a small paddock right at the back of a huge house known as Beaudesert Farm. In spite of three Mercedes and a Range Rover parked outside the place was completely deserted so, after extensive knocking, I wandered passed the swimming pool and into the paddock for a quick look. Probably caught on CCTV by now..... The pillar is very white; all intact; and has very good views eastwards. Incidentally, the dog was extremely friendly!!!
