Parked roadside opposite Twartquoy, at entrance gate for this low security covered resr - it's a fast road, care needed. Couple of farm gates to hop over. The vent cover in question looks to be a modern replacement. Had a look for a punch mark but didn't hold out much hope of finding it... and I didn't.

I had a good sniff around whilst enjoying the views over Scapa Flow. Certain it no longer exists.

OS notes say "mark is on vent" New galvanized access cover at expected location at SW corner of covered reservoir. Couldn't see punch mark and assume it was on an older part of structure or an older structure. 2nd opinion sought. ..
