Top of the hill has been altered by the wind turbine and its access road and the OS record the FS as being long destroyed. However, there was some aggregate noticed at the GR given for the FS... remains of the FS base perhaps?

No trace of flagstaff: recorded by OS as Dest 5/70. Expected location is 3m SSE of trig pillar, may have been lost to hardstanding. Did however find a survey bolt 12m east of pillar, 1", in a concrete slab, top of bolt defaced i.e. no punch mark. Presumably not OS.

Aint no flagstaff Modern stand-in! FS would have been next to trig pillar
Bonus bolt A survey bolt, but not OS, it seems
Survey bolt location Flagstaff itself would have been next to trig pillar
