Had a chat with an interested farmer and we walked the ground. Some OS sketch reference points are extant, others (the ruin) are not. Farmer also stated that the soil is very thin, only 6-8" down to bedrock, ploughs drag over the rock when working the field. He was mystified as to how a concrete block of any descrpition couldn't have been ploughed up over the intervening 55 years. No measuring, probing or digging took place.

Comparing aerial view with sketch, field boundary has changed, would likely need precise GPS fix before digging for this BB. Location viewed from road, 110m to E.
