On summit knoll as per sketch, used the 3 measurements. 1 inch bolt in concrete block, not a concrete ring. Hole was filled mostly with rocks, fairly easy to dig out. We refilled with rocks then soil, then replaced turf.

Roadside parking to E, handy field gate nearby. Block just off the high point of a pastoral grassy mound - complete with inquisitive cattle that slobbered over anything and everything! OS Sketch used to accurately measure to a point at which digging might be viable, after which concrete block, and 1" dia Bolt, was located ~450mm down. Mostly lumps of rock compacted over time were excavated, presumably used by the OS to fill the hole. Hole backfilled with rocks, then soil, then turf. Sketch available from the T:UK wiki pages.
