We located the large iron post, measured the 51.52m and dug down at base of earth bank, ground very rocky, the larger rocks probably infill from when the BB was reburied. Eventually we made 60cm depth with no sign of block. Some uncertainty with only 1 good dimension. Nice scenic spot with hill and sea view. Good parking as mapped.

Location As close as we could determine
Large iron post Key reference point as per OS sketch

From mapped parking to E. Despite having the OS sketch only the measurements from the iron post (extant) were reliable. We made a fair estimation of the digging area but couldn't be precise. Dug down through compacted rocky ground to a depth of 600mm before deciding to call it a day. Spent 1hr 45mins on the site. OS sketch available from the T:UK wiki files for the next intrepid block bagger.
