Old quarry / depression and ancient burial ground found with fence as per OS sketch, but ground too hard to easily dig, and 2nd measurement referencing Albert's Tower was inconsistent with the 31.68m direct from the burial ground fence. Accessed from NE. Afterwards continued along RoW to Lezayre.

Had high hopes for this one after parking NNE just into a green lane (SC 4317 9431), this would have been ok to drive up to SC 4234 9353 when we veered off the green lane onto a private track. Good OS measurements, but the depression (old quarry) in the sketch was irregular and the ground extremely hard and stony. Started a couple of exploratory digs but unable to penetrate the ground after the turf taken off... pick-axe required! Gave up after around 50mins.
