Bagged on a day visit to the House

One of many visits to Osborne House dating back to the 1960s. On this occasion a flying visit before heading for the car ferry at Fishbourne. A quick peek inside the house then caught the free bus down to the ( recently-opened ) Queen Victoria's Beach. Our last day of what turned out to be a perfect week's holiday.

Queen Victoria's residence built 1845-51, now Grade I listed. Visited here Aug 1993 when kids were younger - clearly remember seeing the flagpole then (honest!). OS got the spelling wrong, it's Osborne. Flying visit today, so like previous logger, bagged a photo from entrance drive-way.

Visited during a week’s holiday to the Isle of Wight. I didn’t realise that the flagstaff was a intersected station, and it’s only when I was sorting through some old photos to find some pictures of trig points that I knew I’d seen, but hadn’t logged, that I thought to check. Despite the price, Osborne House is worth a visit.
