Concrete tower; bolt not accessed. Wouldn't like to try climbing the ladder. Nearby locations include Bone Hill Farm, Cogie Hill Farm, Black Hill Farm, North Wood's Hill Farm, Eagland Hill, South Wood's Hill Farm, Primrose Hill Farm and Trashy Hill. All these names mentioning hills contrasts oddly with the predominantly flat landscape and the scarcity of contour lines on the OS map. The cut BM on the farm wall is a little over 9 metres above sea level but theres a good view of the Bowland fells.

The only trig point in my parish- an innocuous looking water tower on a farm with a dark past. it is claimed that in the 18th & 19th centuries Bone Hill was a baby farm. It was here that the embarrassment of rich and noble families- the unwanted offspring of daughters and mistresses- were disposed of,or,if the right fee was paid, reared to maturity.
