SE22 T278 HOLE. This is one of four trig marks within a few metres and appears to be the only one reported extant even though its location is at the viewing platform. Was computed in 1989 as part of the more modern GPS network. What the hole was (in) we can only guess!

SE22/T278 An oddity - don't know of any other trig stations of this type. Would suppose that the hole was filled in by the time that the foundations for the viewing platform were built.
