Easy to locate Rob's find under a flat stone directly below a strand of barbed-wire, SW side of track. No tools needed. Approached via a muddy bridleway around field edge.

Brass rod marker in block on line of low dilapidated fence, 1.8m N of mature tree, 0.1m down. Was just N of the square of paving slab I found last time; left it over the block. Garmin settled 2-3m into ploughed field, this seemed unlikely

(2960) Mopping up a few - long delayed - odds and ends today around Newark. Not the most exciting list to work through, but a certain satisfaction was had by completing the area. Parked up on Danethorpe Lane and then it was about 250m to the location. Unmapped track is off the PRoW, but shielded from prying eyes by trees. Well used by locals it would seem. GPS points to field side, but nothing found. Old Maps usually very good at narrowing things down, but I drew a blank there as well, thanks to the blocks late installation date.

GPS indicates W side of unmapped track in hedge or field edge (ploughed close to hedge). Nice 1ft square of paving slab, a few stones
