Good condition 29th Feb 2024  10:48  by BigJ

Limited parking at the end of the public road at the rear entrance to the hotel. Set off up the east side of the peninsula in a southerly gale, which only got worse. Wet open moor led over various humps to the green rocky summit. Here the wind was so strong, it blew me off my feet - and I'm a big lad. Crawled, commando style, on my front to inspect the small cairn. Apart from a small white geocache bottle, there was nothing. After a breather, began stabbing outwards from the cairn. I'd struggled to get up here, so wasn’t giving up. After 15 minutes, hit what felt like a cement pad. A bit of digging revealed the 1” bolt. It is 1m south of the cairn. Rebuilt the cairn. Fought my way back to the car by the same route. Even bagged a BM on the wall of the hotel.
