Another great find BigJ. 1" bolt towards N edge of flat cement, next to tallest stone in cairn, partially buried hence looks 2cm diameter. Cairn modified leaving bolt visible thru a hole. From SW, modified vegibagger route: gated forest road 1km to NG 8727 3355, sharp L on short steep ride then up thru fairly friendly replanted area; on final steep ascent keep L of trees.

Parked at the view point and looked at doing the steep frontal approach. Being somewhat advanced in years and very advanced in self preservation, decided not to bother and followed vegibaggers route instead. (See log in Hillbaggers). Good forestry road which has the advantage of spectacular views. Last bit to the summit is a bit hummocky. GPS indicated bolt possibly under the small cairn. Some of the stones had white paint on them which is always a good sign. Dismantled the cairn and there was a 1/2” domed bolt with dimple. Took readings and photos and rebuilt the cairn. A fantastic spot.

Surprisingly no hill-bagging log still, which I noticed few years back but see greenbell Gareth has beaten me to it but like me could find no bolt and puzzled at trig symbol on 1:25k map. Pulled quite a bit of heathery moss off two possible sites without success.

Don't normally bag the not sures, but, (1) OS map-fairly recent, has this marked with a trig pillar, therefore I (2) endured a reasonably hard stomp through steep slope and young nigh impregnable forestry so effort has been made. Whether the bolt is near the cairn shown or now hidden/missing because of the forestry I was too jiggered to investigate. Glorious views so quite glad I did it.
