Parked at the top of the road and walked slightly back down hill and through the opening to the woods. Followed the path up to the right passed some lovely tree swings which we made good use of and the trig sitting just passed the bushes on our right hand side. All cut back and easily accessible

In scrub and trees just outside golf course. Parking on road up hill from Bow Brickhill village. Trig easily accessed via public footpaths. I used a GPS to find it as it's hard to see among the bushes and trees but it's not at all overgrown.

Up lane to south east of Bow Brickhill, convenient parking where ground levels out. Opposite a gate with a private notice on it. Golf course to east of the lane. Couple of green keepers about. Over fence and around north and east perimeter of course. Not as straightforward as expected. Stopped to check the map a couple of times then on here for some help. Along line of rhododendrons and ferns between course and fence. Then spotted pillar outside the fence. Possibly a public footpath a few metres beyond which might have been a better route. No views. Plugged cap. Back same way, waved to green keeper, more interested in cutting the grass.

Easy (not overnight) parking in wide layby opposite golf course. Walked downhill to bend in road to pick up path behind logs. Head back towards golf course, and where another track crosses the path, aim for the rhododendrons and the wire fence. Keep the fence in view on your right, and keep looking around - pillar is hiding in the trees behind a bush next to the fence. Good condition; no views.

In amongst the trees & rhododendron, blink & you'll miss it. Sat just of the boundary fence for Woburn golf club. You'll need to keep one eye & ear open for stray flying golf balls

Sun dappled rhododendrons by the boundary fence of Woburn golf course. No view of any consequence from around the pillar area itself but a pleasant area. Frozen ground meant I could traverse the boggy bits without any problems, walking round from the Church car park the area busy with cyclists and dog walkers even on a cold morning like this.

Next to golf course boundary fence in clearing in birch and rhododendron woods. No views. Judging by the number of golf balls in the surrounding undergrowth this isn't a good place to linger.

Bagged as YSM593 Bow Brickhill. Parked on road near church and followed paths to trig at other side of golf course. Loads of squirrels around. Found out on the way back we didn't need to walk as far down the road as there is a path past the house opposite the parking.

On way back after visiting an exhibition in Oxford's Bodlian library which included some maps. Like the previous log I thought I could walk, from son's place in Bletchley, but glad I didn't, though I forgot to bring an OS map...I took FP NE from just below the church but struggled to follow it because of leaves and ruts from tree maintenance, almost giving up. I remembered a log which said it was near the golf course boundary fence and followed a 'new' path more W-E, saw well-heeled golfers on the other side. I gave up, turned round and there it was five yards behind me near a rhododendron bush. No views as such, but gave it a six for the relief in finding it! Would be harder to find in summer.

I found a path up through the rhododendron jungle from the RoW to the North. Pillar is close to the golf course boundary fence, but you can see little of the course, and little else either.

Staying with friends in Milton Keynes and they brought me here whilst out on a walk as a surprise. No real idea how I got there though. Pillar in reasonably good condition but the original metal plug has been replaced by a compound one. In the middle of woodland so no real views but still a lovely area.

1 for proximity to woburn golf course, if you struggle to find it follow the course boundary fence its within a couple of metres. Sight hole contained metal tube with a visitors log~last logged 14 July but not recorded here. Scorcher today but probably a good one for a rainy day under the tree canopy.

I parked on the road past Woburn, then up over Duchess Golf Course - then over fence -The pillar is located in thick trees and is quite difficult to spot - Good condition, modified plug - no views.

Edge of golf course,more of a lucky find really,GPS packed up under trees and was envisaging a burnt out car on my return to accompany the one already there!,but easier than expected ,edge of Golf Course.No views.

Trig is in thick woods, but you still get to it via tracks. Thought I had better do our closest trig point. Nice morning despite the rain. Saw a monkjac deer on my way back to car, great stuff.

Ok Condition. It was difficult with the GPS because of the Trees! As mentioned below, we parked in the small carpark and walked up the hill. Lovely. No view from the TP as it is in woods. No pictures as we left the camera in the car. Doh! (1st of the day)

Don't try and access it across the golf course opposite the reservoir. It's much easier to take the footpath from the parking space and then head across to it.It's actually just outside the golf course in what seems to be common land, although it is quite well concealed by bushes. Tarmac plug.

This is very close to geocache "Keynes Overlook". Same woods, and about 3 minute's walk away. However this trigpoint is buried deep inside the trees at the top of the hill and is obviously unused. The fact that it is in the "old" database suggests it is only there because no-one could be bothered to take it away. I Took pictures while I was there. Actual coordinates of pillar, after taking about ten readings and settling on the best average, is N52 00.060 W0 40.085 This trigpoint appears on current OS maps in green which suggests unused. I have an OS map from the 1960s, and on that it is marked in black, obviously very much still in use back then.
