Couldn't think of a way to incorporate visit into a walking route so went for a quick in and out accompanied by the roar of traffic from the A477. Glad I found it outside rather than inside the perimeter fence around infrastructure.

Parked at the entrance to the transmitter compound and dived through the large gap in the hedge for a short walk to the trig. Easy one.

Easy location just pull up at the pull in and there is a gap in the hedge on the left. Trig about 30m into the field up on bank. Spider, Flush Bracket and no cap in place.

missing cap but otherwise in good nick. amazing its still there given the compound. pillar is not impounded. gap in the hedge 50 or so paces from main gate is fairly clear at the moment. A poor view though.

Started from SN221125 on the old A477 in an attempt to get a proper walk out of this one. Not recommended though, as the right of way isn't always obvious on the ground and required wading through a filthy muddy farmyard. Trig easily accessed through gap in hedge.

I found access easy using gate @ SN211134 (plus room to park). Barbed wire had been cut on fence adjacent to trig (naughty)

4th and final marilyn today, en-route home after a fruitful weekend in Pembrokeshire. This is not a memorable marilyn or trig. Parked at comms compound gates. Trig sited on a bank immediately adjacent to compound's SW boundary. Access awkward, through gap in thorn hedge into field then over b/w fence adequately protected with gorse to find pillar further protected by bramble, fern and nettles! Pillar has no cap or plug; 2 sight holes closed, other 2 are undetermined. Road noise from new A477 not too intrusive.

I recalled it was on the outside of the compound but not which way to approach it. I went in to the left of the compound and past the giant earthmovers that were present as part of the road building going on nearby. After coming face to face with a hedge I backed off and went in the other way, via the hole in the hedge to the right of the compound and soon found the trig.

The pillar is reasonably visible once you get to the right place but accessing it is rather difficult. I used a gap in the hedge just to the east of the compound then made my way round the perimeter of it until the pillar came into view. Then had to straddle some barbed wire to reach it. Right up against security fencing - but thankfully it's still there. Pillar is in good condition but the plug has gone walk about. Not a very inspiring location unless you are keen on security.

Concrete square on top of an earth bank. Spider centre recently removed. Hidden in dense vegetation when I visited. I'd never have found it without the help of a friendly farmer!
