Visited whilst on day out with Painterman61, Bolt easily found under Cairn.

Revisit hard work today in the humid conditions with rock hard paths and tufted moorland grass. Had to dismantle the cairn to expose the plate,lifted to expose the dry 2 inch bolt and cairn rebuilt. Good views to Scafell ranges.

The logged grid reference is right above the centre of the summit cairn, after I tried in vain to find the buried block at NY 08195 07029.

Parked at the Blengdale Forestry car park (NY 085 053) NO PARKING TODAY FORESTRY WORK… so I turned the sign around > Scalderskew Farm >Swainson Knott > Stone Pike > Ponsonby Fell > Scalderskew Farm > CP…. turned the sign back (got away with that one). Previous visit 20/5/2009
