Views from the field, walking from the parking by the gates to the wood were superb. View from TP was only of trees. Keep to the track don't head for the highest lump of land ... like I did. Disturbed three deer in the disused quarry half way up the track in the wood.

The Burton Hill trig point was a nice drive and I found somewhere to pull-in nearby. There were two gates on the side of the road with space for a couple of cars.

Walked south from Weobley and follow good footpaths through the castle grounds and across several field then up through the woodland. The trig stands just round a bend at the top of the woodland.

Room for 1 car beside gate by Shoals Bank (photo). Through gate and then diagonally left to kissing gate, then track up through woods to trig. Enjoyed this one. It looks worse than it is from the car. Trig is beside the track and not hard to find. Not the highest point - that is about 100 meters away and is also a Marilyn. Visited with a moody CherryBubb.

Looked easy up footpaths from NW, but still running water and very muddy! Sustained a few scratches to legs in trying to maintain a drier route!4th of day on easy day between Clun YHA and Kington YHA. Enjoying the sun and warmth!

Pretty woodland location near the top of Burton Hill, a Marilyn. Easy parking in Weobley, a picturesque Herefordshire village. We walked through the Ring and Bailey earthworks on edge of the village on our way out to the hill. A pleasant circular walk returning via Ledgemoor village on a lovely sunny day. Pillar is in good condition.

Nice walk up from Scoles Bank to the west where you can squeeza a car in by yhe field gate and take the path diagionally left through the field to join the track. Saw ten deer in the wood. Bagged the trig then went up to the high point.

Pleasant but muddy walk from the East,might be an alternative...if longer route as the parking is good and there is no ascent. Revist as visiting parents and needed some space!! Pllar condition unchanged.

Parking bit tricky but good walk up (though had to carry my boy much of the way),great views across mid-Wales. Trig easy to find,nice picnic spot opposite,pity its at 287m & not the 294m summit. Saw several deer.

Carelessly followed the track rather than the waymarked footpath on entering the woodland leaving me with a 250m thrash though bramble back to the trig far easier following the FP in descent. Parking possible in the gate near Shoals bank

Tough ol' climb up from Shoals Bank. Needed a breather by the time we got here so it's a good job there was a Trig Point handy!! Very cold and windy... Hazy view too but that's what it's all about, I guess. Trig point is in good condition with all it's metalwork in place.

A doddle after the tribulations of nearby Wormsley Hill. However, still a tricky scramble up through brashings after losing the FP coming up from the north-west. A pleasant situation on edge of cleared area but no real views due to trees. Note: the pillar is not actually on the highest point which is about 100m away, and also a Marilyn.

Parking a problem, eventually found a spot on the B4230 then followed the footpath from Shoals Bank. The pillar was by the track but locating the actual summit was more of a problem, lots of thrashing around but have seen worse.

Still white. Visited on the way to see Hereford United do over Cambridge 5-2. The actual summit is a brambly piece of oakwood that I have now visited twice. The other time during an orienteering event which gave a hassle free enjoyment of the woods.
