After days of heavy rain some very boggy valleys between summit, a long walk just as hard as tackling higher peaks! - This trigpoint was a long walk from Carreg Goch. I've walked around it on previous days, no real easy walk to include it with other peaks, but a lovely remote place when you get there.

From Mynydd Du summit car park on A4069 two and a half hours easterly across the moors. No paths, no people, no builings, walls or fences - but one river to cross. Wonderful feeling of isolation from TP. Walk continued via Carreg yr Ogof TP and Garreg Lwyd TP.

9 miler starting in Cwmgeidd following RoW to open hillside where it started to not be pleasant. Even though we've had heat waves, boggy to start then rough ground with not much in the way of a path. Cracking views made up for it. Thought I'd try and avoid the boggy area on the way back down but found myself in an even bigger, deeper bog, oh well, haha

Good long walk for the day. Climbed up from Criag Y Nos park. Crossed road through two farms and first trig at Cribarth. Followed path west to Carreg Goch then further west passes the remains and memorial of WW2 Wellington Bomber to Bwlch Y Ddau-Wynt. Super weather and great views. Quite remote this one, can occasionally see Army training here..trig to trig! Spider in place, flush bracket in place no visible damage to trig.

14 mile leg stretch from Glyntawe for this and the Cribarth pillar - some hills also. Ground very wet and streams running high meant wet feet for the day. Pillar seems in good condition other than minor chipping to some top edges. Central cap missing, no plug; all sight hole open. Cloud lifting, sun penetrating, nice panoramic views.

Did as part of a 3-trig 20 mile circuit also taking in Trecastle and Careg Yr Ogof. Approached directly on the bridleway from Careg Yr Ogof but the ford was impassable so had to follow the river NE for a mile to the other ford and approached via Carreg Lem instead. Excellent limestone environs and view.

Second of two T/Ps logged today. Hiked in from the west via TP0721. A trek of just over 5 miles and 3.3/4 hours (did two caches on the way). The weather was overcast and a bit misty so the views not as good as they might otherwise have been. The centre plug is missing so I'll log this as 'slightly damaged'. Apart from that, it's in remarkably good condition.

This must be one of the remotest trigs in South Wales. We parked at the end of the little yellow road that goes past Pen-sarn Farm. Just room for one car. A pleaant walk up to the trig which took about 1 hour 20 minutes. I don't think it sees many visitors. Good views north to the Carmarthen Fan. It must have had one visitor in the past as the plug is missing - otherwise all OK.
