2 inch bolt in very tidy CR block, easily found with GPS, just a few pine needles to clear. A foot down, found open and left same way. From N, Heolgerrig, drove surfaced road to park on ridge in messy fly-tipped area. Another great find Dusty. Bagged the Aux from same spot.

Another great find by Dusty. It took me a while to find it even though it is fairly obvious. It is under the overhanging branches which makes it a bit tricky. Found the concrete ring first then after a bit of clearing found the bolt. Amazing to see it has not only survived forestry being planted but also how it was allowed in the first place in the walls of a monument.

Found on the North end of the rampart of Gwersyll Defended Enclosure. What remains is the south-east part of a banked and ditched polygonal enclosure which measures c.52m in diameter, having two cairns within. Spotted depression and once I dug down about 20 inches I struck gold. Lovely 2 inch bolt. Left uncovered.
