Large bolt in block with concrete detector ring. 8m SW of small tree, 30cm down, with large flat marker stone atop smaller stones filling the hole. I replaced the stones as found. Good albeit misty view overlooking the valley. Good work, gents! From SE, Nile Rd, path up through Garth Park joining mapped RoW; higher up a path bends L passing 55m E of trig. Bracken Ok in Jan, likely best in spring. My 55th CR, completing the set for now. Plenty still to be found no doubt

An exciting first for me - a discovery of a concrete ring, all be it following on from the excellent work of Dusty who found the bolt a number of years ago. Caught the train to Dinas Rhondda and walked up the hill from there. The last 50m after heading off the path is tough going across brambles/gorse and ferns. It didn't take too long to spot a likely looking stone. Removed this, and some other stones, and some earth to find what looked to be some concrete but could no spot the bolt. I even wondered if I was in the right place and wandered around looking for another big stone before returning and digging outwards only to discover a concrete ring! I did a much closer inspection of the centre and found the bolt. It is unusually flush rather than than proud of the concrete. Filled back in and left as I found it.
